It happens in any situation where you have multiple co-workers...who's to say that our current player is not the more unlikable guy given the fact that we do not know who he is?...

You mean that people get singled out and not given a fair chance when people really have no clue what type of person he really is?

Man, that sounds familiar!

haha :p

Nah. These guys are professionals. By virtue of their positions and training, they are groomed and taught accountability and not a victim mentality. As a result they get that their job isn't to be arrogant, it’s to make the right choices, and being man enough and accountable when those choices haven’t been the best. When they’re too immature, or refuse to acknowledge the concerns of their team-mates, they become unlikeable real quick, hence the mumblings of the disgruntled. When 8-5, or anyone of similar ilk, brings this upon themselves, then it’s up to them and them alone to man up and change. CJ is talented and very much so, hopefully he’s learning not to sabotage himself.

As much as we want to believe that the league cherishes high character, there's a payday out there for nearly everyone.  A guy like Chad isn't going to "run out of chances" per se, because he shows up on the field, someone will always be willing to take the so-called gamble (which is extremely overblown by people, in my opinion at least).  It's not like we've had a shortage of egos on the Redskins, we just won't accept them from anywhere else apparently.

Speaking only of 8-5 because I do not know where the previous message before yours was even going Pook.

What in the world did CJ do to not acknowledge the concerns of his team-mates? Him and his team-mates do not have an isssue, they love the guy, him and Housh... talk daily. It seems to me that his team-mates are saying that he has a legitimate gripe.

I do not think that any player would want to here that they may be trade bait without knowing anything about it.

Whether you are a professional or not you still are human and have human emotions.

Exactly!  You'll see the same behavior in any profession whether it be corporate, marketing and sales, etc.  People are acting like they know Chad Johnson personally, have been in the locker room with him, etc.  Players are locked into contracts and sometimes they seem like a good idea at the time and most people want them to shutup and play it out, but that's not how sports goes anymore.  You can ask for a raise; you can ask to move to a different employer (not always granted of course), etc.

I can't even imagine what he has to deal with with half of his team getting arrested, them refusing to build a halfway competent defense, and the lack of care that seems to come from the ownership of the team.  He's not the only one upset and he's not the only one that's said something about it from the organization.  However, Chad is a media "darling."   He's exciting, he's flamboyant, and yes, sometimes controversial.

People want to make huge deals out of the incident with Carson Palmer, however they seem to be fine with each other.  Lots of emotion runs through players and that's when you see things like him arguing with Carson, Lloyd slamming his helmet, players getting into each others faces, and what have you.  People act like Chad and T.J. have issues when there's no apparent evidence that that's the case.

Once we can figure out that we want to play WINNING football, not CHARACTER football we'll be better off.  Granted, I don't want to even touch where organizations like Dallas, Cincinnati, etc have there's a big difference.  Funny nobody mentions Todd Collins GRILLING Mike Sellers about lining up incorrectly last year.
