Another chapter to "As the Johnson Turns." Why can't this clown just go away?!? http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3349761Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson left no room for doubt Wednesday: He wants out of Cincinnati as fast as possible and he doesn't plan on reporting for any future Bengal function -- mandatory or voluntary. What spurred Johnson's immediate reaction was a statement made by quarterback Carson Palmer that indicated Johnson had told Palmer he would be at the team's mandatory minicamp in mid-June. Johnson said that wasn't true. "I want to make this very clear,'' Johnson said Wednesday. "I don't know where he got that. I made no assertion to Carson that I would do that. Nothing has changed from what I've been saying for three months that I don't want to play for the Bengals.'' Johnson made one of his strongest statements in saying he is not planning on reporting to any team functions because he wants to be traded. "I want to be traded before the draft, and if that doesn't happen, I want to be traded as soon as possible,'' Johnson said. "I don't intend on reporting to anything.'' Johnson is skipping the team's offseason workouts as he tries to push for a trade. But the Bengals have also made it clear that they have no plans of trading him. The Pro Bowl wide receiver said he was surprised by Palmer's comments about his possibly reporting to mandatory camp. "I wish he would stay out of my business,'' Johnson said.

Don't give him any ideas. We don't need that headache with a new head coach and a transition year. DON'T. DO. IT.

How can you say no to a guy who has 559 Catches for 8,365 yards and 49 Tds in seven years? He would take our receivers core from one of the weakest to one of the best just like that.

JUST DO IT!!! Remember, a guy can be a problem in one place and excel in another (such as Portis' move from Denver to Wash.---'nuff said!)

How can you say yes to a guy who's quick to throw his quarterback under the bus over something that turned out to be his fault, get into fist fights with his coaches and time and time again put his interests ahead of that of the team? He's a cancer and a clown, and we have enough to deal with without his me-first attitude poisoning the locker room.

He actually has a rep for being a good teamate. So what if he has a big mouth. That fist fight may or may not have happened we will never know. All he wants is to be on a team that is trying its hardest to win. I would not view him as a team cancer. Plus if he is traded and we dont get him Dallas or Philly will.

Who's to say he won't do the same thing -- or worse -- here when we don't win immediately, and he goes into his "I didn't come here for this" rant? No, thank you!

Look at TO in Dallas. He went from the 49ers to the Eagles and completely threw #5 under the bus but Dallas took him and now he is crying for Romo. I think he needs a change of scenery. The last time I saw him on NFL Network he wouldn't talk about his situation no matter how hard they tried, but the more I watched, the more I was willing to give him a shot if they actually went out and got him.
I say do it, but there has to be some kind of out clause that will let us be rid of him if he is the same person as he was in Cincy. We have a while to wait anyway as he likely won't be traded until after June if at all.

Just because it's working out in Dallas doesn't mean it will here. T.O. knew going in that Bill Parcells and Jerrah weren't going to put up with any mess. In fact, if you recall, when T.O. showed up in that bicycle outfit when he was working out by himself on the sidelines, Parcells called him out, then. He got with the program immediately. I just don't think we have the organizational set-up to keep a personality like that from creating unwanted chaos. If we had "real" football people in charge who were experienced enough to handle situations like this, maybe I'd consider bringing him in. But, right now, I don't think it would be a good fit for this franchise, given its organizational make-up.

The guy comes to play, he has had no off the field problems and his complaints are legit. I would be more concerned about a player who does not show the passion for winning than one who wants to win games. With all due respect my friend, I think that his complaints in Cincy is the same as yours is about our team lacking the ability to choose the right players.

I completely get where you are coming from, but from watching him talk during the NFL Network interviews, he didn't seem like the kind of guy that would wind up being a locker room cancer. He seemed real team oriented, as far as his team mates went. He feels that someone in management threw him under the bus early on and that is the whole reason he wants out of Cincy. Like I said, I still think there would need to be some kind of out clause or something, but I would be willing to take the chance on him.
