OK...so I heard today that there is talk about Leftwich. IMO, I like having him as a backup behind J-CAM, and I like that fact that he grew up in the DC area and was a big Skins fan growing up. However, I worry about his injury history. He COULD be a better backup option than Collins, who is 37 and has not learned the West Coast System. Another question is where will Colt's development come into play and how will it affect his status as a Redskin? Thoughts??
Also, I heard a rumor about Peppers.

If I was peppers agent then I would stir things up by connecting him to the Skins, it could spark some interest.
Is that whats happened?

If wish we could groom our own players for once instead of lusting after everyone else's. Having said that, Julius Peppers would be that defensive end teams have to account for when on offense. We just don't have that right now, even with Haynesworth clogging the middle. I just don't know if I'm ready to part with yet more picks to get him.

I agree, we have to get into a position where we are bringing good sound players to the Franchise through the Draft as well as picking up valuble players through FA. We need balance and the sooner the better! We need to bite the bullet and save our draft picks, wouldnt having 6 or 7 or even 7 or 8 Draft picks be Great for us? Upgrading our needs theough the Draft, now thats a novel idea I wonder why no one has thought of that before......

I think Mr Leftwich would be a younger back up to J.C. I would also think that Mr leftwich would know that his chances of starting are slim. The next guy in line is colt 5 and unless he isn't developing as well as we think. Leftwich is the #3 qb for the skins. I think colt has had one full your learning and we will get a chance to see how ready he really is in the preseason. Todd is a nice guy but I thing this team is better served with a younger QB at the back up position and He's a guy that can Crank it out Deep.

I think that even if we all those picks will they contribute for us this year or maybe in three years. The team is built to win now and with CP, Samuels, Fletcher,Thomas, and Jansen all which are the core of the team we are pretty old. We need to get younger with all the picks that we can. With that being said we need a stud at DE.

Like I said we need Balance. Would 6 or 7 Draft picks be starters from the start? I doubt it but Depth and youth would come to the Rosta and the next year when we get another 6 or 7 then we are getting pretty set for the future and not having to rely on old timers struggling to make the Grade yet taking home Mega Bucs!! You know this is Hyperthetical dont you

They do it in New England. Wonder how it's worked out in those places.
