What do you think should happen regarding Salary Cap?

I think Jason Taylor is too costly to keep, so hes gone, the same could be said for Shawn Springs,  If Hall is resigned, Springs has to go too.

It could be time for Youth at TE and QB too so adios to Yoder and Collins.

We need Youth in our team and we also need to restructure for the Cap.  So there will be some decissions to be made which may show which way our FO are looking to go.

Theres no right or wrong with our opinions, they are just that our opinions and views, so whats your thoughts?

I agree UK, Taylor will cost too much for what we get out of him. I love Springs but he stays hurt too much. As for Yoder, I would love to see Fred Davis get more playing time. It would be great to see Davis and Cooley in there both playing at the same time. Maybe put Davis at TE and Cooley in at H-Back. Kinda like he did in his first year with the team.

I do wish Jason Taylor had worked out better but he, imo, will be a cap casualty.  I think we will lose a WR, most likely Thrash.  Pete Kendall may be as well but I would like to see him stay as depth.

I can definitely see Springs and maybe Washington going. I'm not sure about Yoder, but I do agree that the way Davis played late in the season that he would fit in well behind Cooley. I think letting Taylor go would be smart in regards to the cap, but we're so thin at both lines that I'm personally not sure if any linemen will be let go. We'll see what happens.

For some reason I think they keep Taylor for the simple fact that they gave away some draft picks for him.  I think Washington is gone and I still like Springs but is costing us to much money.  Maybe he restructures his contract to make it more cap friendly but I doubt that happens plus he has been getting hurt to much.  Like the idea of Fred Davis getting some more playing time, and I really hope that they sign Hall cause down the stretch he really looked like his old self.  Read some where that Randle El and Carter restrucured theie contracts do you know how much was saved?

Randle El and Carter did redo their deal to free up some cap money. IMO Washington and Springs are gone. I would say the same for Yoder. I would think that Jason Tayor would be gone but you never know. That guy can still play IMO. I think Kendall will be back unless the Redskins sign someone else from FA or they draft a couple of O-Lineman.

Hope this helps _ty

Each player had a deal set to expire after 2012, but each will now run through 2015.
Carter's new deal saves the team about $2.4 million in 2009, and lowers his case salary from $2 million to $1.5 million. Randle El's new deal saves $2 million in cap space for next season, and lowers his base salary from $4 million to $1.5 million according to sources.

NC  thats what I was thinking concerning Fred Davis, Id love for him to make a name for himslf this coming season

Yellow31  When I 1st heard we signed Jason Taylor I though He would bring so much to the team but unfortunately due to injuries his season was somewhat a damp squib and we didnt see fully what he could do for us.  It could have been different if he had a full injury free season behind him.

Alexander..  I just think Yoder is at a point where we could save money against the Cap by cutting him and making way for Fred Davis to replace him.  Springs is on too much money to keep when banged up, so again its smart business to get rid now as long as we can keep Hall.

I think we are in a hard situation where we have to rely on making sound business decisions not based on personal abilities alone, which may harm the strenght  of our team and may not be the right decisions for the team as a whole.  Obviously its not a situation we would want or would like to be in, lets hope we learn and were not put in the same position again.

We are witnessing the results of years of bad management off the field and I think sadly it will take more than just one year to rectify and put right.

We need more picks in the Draft and room in the Cap, we need to make sure we have this in the future.
