Well that spells doom and gloom.....  Sad

Theres a long way to go yet but obviously we cant believe all we read (fingers crossed) and the Coaching Staff have something planned to suprise us all and pull a rabit out of the hat...............

Good find UK...

It is kinda depressing that Rinehart may not be ready to take over next season and we may see the aging line getting even older before we are able to really do anything  about it. Also I feel a "reach" coming on in the draft at O tackle.

Looks like personnel wise we should look for more of the same as last season with a low end FA added in at one line and at a receiver positions to fill a roster spot...

Maybe we could get better in certain areas with exisisting players because it doesn't look like we are going to see much change.

I didnt think we would see much change on Defense but thought we would be more likely to see changes on the O line  Huh

It is early yet.....

Yes it is early maybe our guys can find a way to make more than a couple of minimal moves.

I kinda knew that there would not be any huge personnel changes on the O-line because of the salary cap but I was hoping for at least one that could make a difference. The realization that Rinehart and Heyer may not be starting material may be a good thing for future moves when we have more resources.

It is a good thing that no team in the NFC made strides to where  they are head and shoulders above the rest of the teams so maybe we will have a season or two to get things together and still be competitive but I hope that we do have a plan.

Teams like the  Falcons and the 49ers, who seem to be coming alive in the NFC are not going to wait for our team to get on board.

there is not much high end FA out there anyway other than Gross, so why not just draft a OL and go from there.  By releasing Washington and dealing Rogers does that not open some salary cap space?  I would think so!!!!!  Do not forget Springs isn't he due alot of money this year coming?

After reading this article, the thing that bothers me most is not using Rinehart and Heyer. Heyer was good at pass-blocking and Rinehart can play either guard spot. The fact that Bugel likes veterans and Cerrato didn't know what sparked the 2-6 finish is also disheartening. I do hope they re-sign Hall, and I can see Springs going. I'd rather him go than Rogers. I also agree with Marcus Washington going, and MAYBE we'll keep Jason Taylor for depth at DE. In any case, it's still very early. We can address specific needs with 4 picks, but I am hoping we try to snag more picks in FA and maybe the draft itself. Also, does anyone think we need a center? Rabach isn't young either, and he gets A LOT of bad penalties.

Great point about the center Alex!!!

But I think that we are going to have to do it one step at a time...I am alright with Rabach for now

Oh I can live with him, too. He did REALLY well under Gibbs and he filled a BIG gap when he came to us in 2005. He just needs to play more disciplined and block better, and that may come if he has guards and tackles helping him!
