Yes, im very envious of how they run their organisation over the years.......  I think The Skins and Steelers are the two oppersite ends of the spectrum there  Angry

What's really sad is that, at one point, we were right up there with the Steelers in terms of well-run organizations.  It's tragic to see how far this team has fallen since those four Super Bowl appearances over a 10-year period.  One playoff win in four years and only two since 1999?  Are you kidding me?

That's been my question since 2006, Stew. And it is sad that even teams who've been around 10 years or less like the Ravens and Texans have been drafting better AND have had more success with playoffs and such. Bottom-line, we need to have Danny Boy put an end to his white-collar, business-crazed, football-flopping monopoly, and find people who can turn this team into the BLUE-collar winning team that it was. Of course, it would also help if people STOPPED marveling the past and concentrated on the game today!!!!!!!! Things have changed people!!!!!!!!! We aren't in a horrible state exactly, but things aren't looking good and I'm worried about the future of this team. Ifwe get a miracle run at the Super Bowl soon, I'll be thrilled. For now, I'll just settle for a .500 team and I don't think we're much better than that. I'm a diehard fan and always will be, but I don't think this team is good.

Alex, that's the one truth very few Redskins fans want to read.  But, you're absolutely right.  This team is a mess and things won't change until Danny checks his ego and gets some REAL football people in here to run the team.  To be honest, I'll be shocked if we win four times next season.

Its the truth, it hurts and in the real world Danny has to stop playing fantasy football and get down to making football decisions based on whats best long term not quick fix's that dont work.

What's really funny is that I think this is why Dan Reeves decided not to stay with Dallas.  Jerry Jones was too much into the team and wouldn't relinquish that control.  Read here:

I decided to read that column further and, while it's nice to see the Cowboys continue their implosion, a reader comment hit home with me in that she mentioned that Jerry Jones has to be the "alpha-male" in the organization.  Everyone must yield to him and he won't have it any other way.  Well, that's the problem here.  Unless your name is Joseph Jackson Gibbs, everything goes through Danny, even though his knowledge of football business can fit inside a bee's you-know-what with room to spare!  That has compromised this team's chances of ever having long-term, meaningful success because the Scott Piolis of the world know they won't succeed in an environment like that.

Sadly stwasm I agree....  It is very much a mirror image looking at the crygirls owner and our very own Danny boy!  Megalomania at its worse......

No good for building a successful Franchise.

It's almost as if, deciding whether to have total control of the team and surrounding himself with "yes-men" at the expense of the on-field product versus bringing in real football people making all the decisions while he sits in the background, he's chosen the former.  Not good for those of us spending thousands of dollars in hopes of seeing a fourth Lombardi trophy.
