The second half of this season has been very disappointing for all of us and it hurts deeply but the burgandy and gold blood is still flowing through my veins as strong as ever.
Our playoff chances has past us by this season but I lifted myself up like 10 seconds after the score was finalyzed. I am not saying that I am the happiest of campers because we did look pretty bad in the last 6 or 7 games and I know that we have a lot of work to do once the season ends but I'll perservere.
In these next 2 weeks, I'll anxiously await our games just like I did in the previous 14.
This offseason, I will read every news article that we may have, take in every transaction, analyze our team the best that I can, still get bragadocious with my non-Redskins fan friends here in NC, toss on the gear and hail our gang just as if we had won the Superbowl.
"Ain't" nothing stopped but our playoff chances for this season.
LET'S GET LIFTED FOR THESE NEXT 2 GAMES AND BEYOND!!!
HTTR FOREVER!!

Right on MB! Too many times people focus on the bad or what has gone wrong but I know I saw plenty of good things happening too. It was never very realistic to expect to go and dominate in the playoffs anyway. It is what it is and now it's time to finish out strong and strategize for the future. ...and Dear Santa, please bring the Redskins some big Bubba linemen!! Burgundy & Gold FOREVER!!!

Like I've always said WE RIDE TOGETHER AND WE DIE TOGETHER SKINS FAN 4 LIFE. I am hurt But I'm happy because we really played better than i expected I pick them to go 6-10 or 5-11 at best and the stepped up and won a few game that were losses on my schedule. I know that we can play better than we have but things just haven't worked in our for us. I'll always be here for my skins

I love this team and always will. But, right now, I'm embarrassed by it. This has to be one of the worst times I've ever seen for the Redskins. Frighteningly, it may get even worse before it gets better. I've written in other places, but I'll say it again. Until we have knowledgeable, football-savvy people in the front office, and the owner decides to get out of the way, let the football people do their jobs and not play favorites -- "I love Dan Snyder. Dan Snyder loves me." -- the Redskins will have very little in the way of meaningful on-field success.

I stand by this team no matter how bad they look. If I can make it thru a 3-13 season...a 7-7 one isn't so bad. Hopefully we can finish 8-8. I'm not embarrased by this team..I don't play a down of football on that field and frankly there are worse teams out there..you know like the one we lost to yesterday...but at the end of the day we're 7-7 and the Bengals are still 2-12....and they're still well...they're still the Bengals. My step son is a Chiefs fan...yeah..we laugh at him..lol. He tried to talk trash to me yesterday and I promptly told him.."when your team wins more than 2 games come back and see me...we may have lost to Cincy but we're not as bad as the Chiefs"...lol..He said.."true true"..lol
So let's get ready to enjoy the rest of the season..no pressure...no microscope...just play. Yesterday is over and today brings new life! I love this team and I love this team's fans...HTTR!!

I'm not embarrassed either, it seems as if we went from "well this is Zorns first year" to "get rid of the bum", from "I did not expect us to do as well a we have done anyway" to "what is wrong with this team" in less than 2 weeks"
Although I do think that the team will replace Zorn, I do appreciate his efforts this season.
As far as the front office goes Stwasm, I feel ya and you express your views well about them in each and every post...Don't care what's it about you manage to throw them in there, LOL and you make good points. BUT worrying about Vinny and Dan going anywhere is going to make only the worriers gray because they are young and are not going anywhere anytime soon.
I think that we have some coachable kids in camp and I like that Fred Davis finally got some time. I just hope that we can get what we need next to make us more competitive, hopefully but maybe not next season but very soon.

Nice post MB! I'm still bleeding it as well.
But I have to say that I am tired of the fact that we have lost so many good players the last few years and brought in others who do not contribute. I’m tired of management not being able to elevate talent. That is what built our great Super Bowl teams. Until they can do that we will be a middle of the road team.

I think that the answer to the talent evaluator is to hire a reputable GM, for years now Danny and/or Vinny have been trying to listen to their coaches and choose who they suggest. This goes from Spurrier and his Danny Wuerful and the rest of the Gators that he brought on, to our guy Joe Gibbs with CP and Campbell, to now Zorn and his 'I am running the west coast offense so I need receivers'. I am not saying that all were the wrong moves but the majority of them have been. When we built our Superbowl teams, we had Bobby Beathard, one of the best GM's, if not the best ever to manage a team. I do not think that Danny or Vinny will be going anyhere but I do hope that they hire someone to help them manage the team.

Well said Mike. Man the first part of the year I was on a high!!! I went to Texas Staduim and saw the Skins kick that Cowboy ass and I it was awesome. But then it started the loss against St. Louis and I really began to think are they that good or did we just have a little luck!!!! I will always be a Skins fan and I think that we just ran out of gas and we really need to boost up on our Oline and Dlines. It never fails towards the end of the season we always have reserves in at Right Tackle and we seem not to get enough push in our Dtackle spot.
