Grown men needs to act like grown men not children.  Work it out in house.

Gnarly I think that they met today...http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/video/videopage?videoId=3759564

But you are right "in house" would've the best way to handle it from the start. According to ESPN Zorn was saying that because we were down 17 and Betts is our usual 3rd down/receiving back that it was best to use him in our comeback attempt.

Mortensen also said that the game was important to CP because he had his boys, Ed Reed and Ray lewis on the other side line so being "benched" may have escalated his frustration even more.

Bottom line is CP is a gamer! He leaves it all out their on the field. I still wish that he would have had more carries last game.

I really hope the meetings(one on one and team) they had today resolved everything....I look for it all to end up being for the positive with CP having a monster game!

The bottom line is this.  BOTH parties have made mistakes in this.  I have to cut Coach Zorn just a little slack as it's his first head coaching position and he enters it without the benefit of being a coordinator first.  So, he has to wear many hats being thrust into the job the way he was.  As a result, he's going to make many mistakes and I think what happened here is an example of a rookie mistake.  On top of that, Clinton Portis is the type of player who needs to be coddled and have his ego stroked.  He enjoyed that under Gibbs and Snyder considers him one of his favorites.  As a result, when things didn't go his way, he threw a fit and went to the media with it.

In the bigger picture, this is an example of what happens when you have a dysfunctional organization.  You have an owner who has no previous NFL experience playing fantasy football and picking favorites (read:  Portis) among the team.  That owner has a flunkee as his general manager who couldn't get a job any place else in the NFL if he tried.  Said owner is more concerned about putting "superstars" and flashy wide receivers on the field so he can sell more shirts and put more fannies in seats, instead of building a solid foundation of players (read:  offensive and defensive linemen) who you can build those superstars around.  Because of that, no coach who comes here, with the exception of one Joseph Jackson Gibbs, can expect to have full authority without Snyder's presence undermining him.  I think that's what Zorn is facing right now.

You know, I can't really disagree with Stewart's claims here, and he supplied an article on the RH homepage as potential proof. It is frustrating how this team's organization has been run, and that is one of (if not THE) reason why this team has been barely mediocre after our last super bowl. Of course, you have to think about chemistry between players, coaches, and the heart of the team. A team can only work well as a whole...NOT with one or two offensive hotshot superstars. Also, EVERYONE has to come out and play above their level and bring their A game, and I really haven't seen the team do that a whole lot in recent years. That, and the fact that Danny and Vinny are running things the way they are, appear to be the reasons why we are where we are. So my request is players: shut up, stop complaining about injuries and salaries, and play the game; coaches: let the boys play and work with them better; OWNERS: STOP INTERFERING, learn the game of football, and STOP with the business egos at FedEx (Hooters, etc) and concentrate on REBUILDING THIS TEAM AND ITS IMAGE!!!!!!!! Call me emotional, but this is in agreement with Gnarly.
