#1...First and foremost, we are going to have to get some pass blocking for Campbell...No this is not Pittsburgh or Dallas defense but we can best believe that Seattle have noticed that our line can be exploited and they will try to bring the pressure the best way that they can.

2. We have to exploit their weak pass defense...#31 in the league...This week we can probably get it done with Moss and Cooley but I would like to see Malcolm Kelly get involved to add more diversity to the passing game.

3.Portis...need I say more?...even when "injured" he is our best player on offense and we need to use him

4. Be Ready for the wildcat...they are going to use it with Seneca Wallace so we need to be ready for the possible run or pass when he is lined up in the backfield...do not disregard  Hassleback if he is lined up as a end...we do not want a trick play to kill us and our games are always close

5a. Zorn is going to have to pick it up, his play calling has not been the greatest lately...yes he know their tendencies but they also know his.

5b. Pass pressure...Julius Jones has been their only weapon but I do not think that he wil be effective against our run D...if we can pressure the QB, I think that we can shut them out.

DON'T BE SURPRISED IF ALEXANDER KILLS HIS EX TEAM!YOU KNOW DAMN WELL HE HAS ISSUES WITH HIS OLD TEAM.HE MIGHT NOT RUSH FOR MANY YARDS BUT I SAY HE HAS A COUPLE OF GOAL LINE TD'S!WE NEED TO RUN DOWN THEIR THROATS AND THROW A COUPLE LONG BALLS.
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU MIKE BOUT GETTING PASS PROTECTION FOR JC.THEIR D HASN'T BEEN GREAT AT ALL THIS YEAR.if there is ever a game to open up the offense it is this game.
AND ANOTHER KEY IS CLOCK CONTROL!!WE NEED OUR OFFENSE TO KEEP OUR DEFENSE OFF THE FIELD.WE HAVE SEEN WHAT HAS HAPPENED THE LAST 2 GAMES WHEN OUR DAMN OFFENSE GOES 3 AND OUT IN THE 3 AND 4TH QUARTERS.THAT IS WHEN WE GIVE UP BIG RUNS AND PASSES.OUR DEFENSE IS GETTING BEAT BY OUR OWN OFFENSE!!

I totally agree Rob...if we are in short yardage situations, I think that we will definitely see Zorn and Stump give the ball to Alexander with Portis' blessings.

Great points fellas! Pass protection and QB pressure are at the top of my list too. I think we've really been most effective when we mix things up and don't get into too much of a predictable pattern. As a fan of the gadget play I'd like for Zorn to throw a few surprises in there as well. First and foremost though, I think we've GOT to take their 12th man out of the game by scoring early and often! It's time to silence the echo chamber!!

I agree S12  ...but...I hope the crowd does not become an issue because if it does it would probably mean that we are in  a tight game with yet another weak team.

In the recent past I would probably given the crowd at Qwest #1 consideration but with a 1-4 home record, I do not think that they are as enthused as they were in the past so I would drop the crowd noice down on the list just a little bit this year.

But you're absolutely, right the crowd can definitely become a factor if we let Seattle stay in the game like we did the Lions and other bad teams this year.

Here are the Washington Examiner 3 Keys...

1. PRESSURE HASSELBECK » We’ll take a cue from defensive coordinator Greg Blache and say it’s not about sacks, it’s about pressure. The Redskins can’t let Matt Hasselbeck get comfortable in the pocket. He returned last week after a five-game absence and is still banged up, so they need to keep him uncomfortable. He has a full set of offensive weapons so if he has time, he can hurt the Redskins.

2. ATTACK THE MIDDLE » Seattle will blitz its linebackers, especially with a top rusher such as Patrick Kerney now done for the season. But the Seahawks still apply pressure because of the blitz. However, they’ve become a hit-or-miss team. If they don’t get there, they give up huge plays. The Seahawk safeties, especially Brian Russell, aren’t good and their corners are suspect. This is a chance for the passing game to get healthy.

3. CONVERT CHANCES » One reason the Redskins have struggled is they haven’t taken advantage of their opportunities. They drop interceptions or fail to create turnovers. They don’t score in the red zone, or they don’t get there enough. If they don’t start making plays inside the 20, they will limp to the finish line. It would be wise to see if rookie receiver Malcolm Kelly, finally healthy — we think — can provide a boost in the red zone. Nobody else has.
