With the first quarter of the season already under our belts what grade do yoou give our beloved Redskins so far... I personally give us a A-
Coaching-: A...if it was not for the 1st game jitters, I would give this crew a A+
RBs: B-....Portis is having a pretty good season but I am looking for more of a one two punch thaan hat we have shown here.
WRs: A-....'Tana is having a pro bowl season so far and ARE have been playing very well but the rooks have given us nothing so far
QB: A... Campbell has finally got into a comfort zone. I am loving how he has made the media eat crow and now they are kissing on his butt.
O line: C...The big thing here is that they have stayed healthy so far...Campbell's size and strength have saved them a lot because he is fighting his way out of sack situations a lot.
D Line: B-...They have been better than servicable but have not really produced like I thought they would but it does look like Carter is about ready to explode.
LBs: A....Thank Gawd for Fletch and Rockie Mac...this is a great crew which is very underated
DBs: B+...this crew has played good ball against talented receivers such as Boldin and T.O....Horton is just a stud...we should hold on to him and hold on to him tightly for the next 10 years!

who would of thought that we would be 3-1 at this point. One thing that we are not doing is turning the ball over. And we are plus 5 on the turnover ratio. But one thing that we need to do is get more pressure on the QB's. That is one thing that I see wrong on our D. But that being said we are doing pretty well without Jason Taylor and I think when he gets right we are going to be that much better. HTTR great feeling leaving the staduim as winner

I gave an overall A- but I agree the D needs to pressure the QB better...Also I would give the special teams a slightly lower grade(but they played much better yesterday)

Thanks Bex, I meant to grade the special teams also...my grade for them in the first quarter would be a C-. Brooks and Suisham looked much better yesterday but for the season thus far I would say that they are below average.

I give em a B+ overall -the defense has been excellent stopping high powered offenses week in and week out they definitely deserve an A+.
-The offense has been extremely efficient, and finally appears to be on the path to reach their potential. However our redzone troubles are beginning to slightly worry me, and we didn't put up anything against the g-men so I'll give them a B.
-Special teams, hasn't been that great aside from Rock kick returns. Randle El lost one punt, and continues to get minimal yardage on any possible return, and our coverage did give that run up to Bush. I have to go B- here (which definitely isn't a bad grade but compared to the other squads special teams has definitely been our weak point, especially with Suisham's missed fgs)
-Coaching, A+++++++++ and on and on. I can't put in to words how much I love our current coaching and this is no knock on Gibbs (there is no doubt he brought in this core of Redskins). However it is finally nice to see what our playmakers are capable of, and it is a huge breath of fresh air to not have the most predictable team in the NFL. I mean how great was that fake end around pitch to Portis that he broke, though zorn says he is using the old rushing plays something tells me thats a new one (I definitely don't recall ever seeing it before). It's also nice that it appears zorn has gotten away from our classic hb dive up the gut in singleback(as of the Cowboys game), and it appears to me that he wants to get Portis outside much more where he belongs.

Here are some statistics I love to see through the first quarter:
Qb's by rating: 4.) Jason Campbell
Rb's by yds: 4.) Clinton Portis (should note 1 of 2 top 5 backs without a fumble)
WR's by yds: 2.) Santana Moss
WR's by receptions: 3.) Santana Moss
Tackles: 2.) London Fletcher
Int's: 2.) Chris Horton
I mean wow, who would have thought this offseason that come week 4 we would have a top 5(rb, qb, wr, lb and a desperately needed breakout safety). I mean I knew it was possible for most of these guys (I definitely doubted Campbell in the past), but never in my wildest dreams did I think they all would be clicking on all cylinders. Love seeing this great football, hope we can remain consistent

I gave us a B- basicaly for three reasons, - I feel our O-line is taking too long to get into the game meaning we are going three and out and with a sack to boot. We must start faster.
- Not enough of a pass rush I feel Carter and Taylor when fit should be bringing more heat than they currently do.
- punt return we do not carry that big threat other temas do, if we did i just feel teams would adjust their kicking game accordingly
Having said that if you hard offered me 3-1 at start of season with the win at Dallas thrown in I would have cut your hand off to say yes

Seriously, our D has been playing incredible. Our pass rush hasn't been strong, but we also played the Cowboys this week who have one of the best o-lines in football, but did you ever begin to think about how the line performed against the rush? Marion Barber who went for almost 150 last week against an incredible Green Bay D was held to under 3 yards per carry. And our o-line is what it is, they have been giving Jason enough time to get rid of the ball, and have been moving the pile for Portis.

Mike I am marking them according to the Scottish grade scale. it goes all the way to F (and that is still a pass these days) i accept i might be a tad harsh but yes I do feel we are slow out the blocks and that our PR is below par. ARE is quality but just not producing it just now, give Thomas a go. Mind you a win next Sunday and it is an A BMahoney read what I said, I did not say our O-line was playing badly, I said they are slow out the blocks, against both the Giants and Dallas we gave up a sack on the very first down. Yes they control the game later on but that early sack could result in an injury to Campbell and that worries me.

I am sorry I have to disagree still Drumlin, I believe our ability to consistently put together a good drive our opening drive has been excellent.

I gave them a 'B'...they have some things that still need work but the improvements have been great! As long as I continue to see changes in a positive direction..I'm good. Special team, mainly our kicking game need improvement. SS is not money on his kicks by any means..Brooks has done better..but needs work. I hate the prevent defense and hope that it won't become an issue much longer...we should have continued to play aggressive in Dallas...we could have scored at least 2 more TD's and blown them out! We need that cut throat instinct. Players don't need to be nasty about it...you can play cut throat w/o that type of TO swagger...Let's not keep letting teams off the hook.

I agree with all said here ldy, but I really think that Brooks will be okay...Suishy, while inconsitent on the deeper FG's, does alright on the FG's in the positions that we mainly have which are the shorter ones and that goes back to what BMahoney said about red zone TD scoring still needing improvement. Suishy was 4-4 but the field goals were a 20 yarder (which mean our drive "basically" died at the 3 yard line), 2 from 33 yards (drives "basically" died at the 16) and a 29 yarder (drive "basically" died at the 12)...when we are getting that close to the goal line we need to get more TD's...IMO, at least 2 out of those 4 should've resulted in TD's! We drafted Kelly, Thomas and Davis to help us out in those situations and somehow we are going to have to get them involved in helping us out there.
