Well here we are guys.  The Gibbs Resignation. The crazy coach search. The Chad Ocho Stinko Fiasco. The draft day trades. Philip Daniels. Jason Taylor.  The up and down preseason.  It all comes down to this season.  This week.  This is a new era starting for the Redskins now that Gibbs has retired again.  THe Giants are the champs but tey are hurting right now.  They lost their two best defensive ends and basically their whole linebacking core outside of Pierce now that Kiwanuka has moved back to Defensive End.  The main thing I am worried about for this game, at least from the outset, is crowd control with our offense.  The Meadowlands is going to be rockin when they reveal the championship banner.  Rookie coach, new offense, this game could be bad.  But we have the talent to beat them if we can get it all together.

Zorn said in his press today that Taylor won't play if he doesn't practice this week.  As I mentioned elsewhere he also said Jansen might be our backup this year, healthy or not.

Yeah Mike I have to agree with Zorn because Jansen really has not been himslf and honestly had he played last year instead of Heyer we probably would not have done as well on that right side of the line

Well, as you predicted, Heyer is the starter.  I am anxious.  I want to see that they come out like the first two games, rather than the last three.  I think they may have a better chance to do so, only because the players are now getting full time reps at their positions, rather than splitting time with guys that were fighting for roster spots.  I think they pull together and like Clinton said today, let go since it means something now.

I say think instead of hope because I am leaning on the power of positive thinking ;-).

All that being said, I can't wait.

Well This is It I think the Skins are going to be fine but there are some key to this game. We have to come out and attack them early on D our front for can get there with out the biltz but I think we need to Shake up Eli,so the Biltz would be nice. We can give Eli alot of Time in that Packet,if Manning get time It doesn't matter if they don't have a Strong #2 WR Chump WR or the Water Boy can kill u in the passing game with no Pressure.  If we can force them in to a One Sided Offense we a Dictate the game.

On Offense it's very simple Redskins football Zorn style Spread the Defense with the lack of Osi we can force tuck to Press more than likely he will over shoot the pass run ERRRRRR pull a Bruce smith and blow right bye the CP in the quick draw. KEEPING THE PASS RUSH OFF OF JC is a HUGE key to this game. If we can keep them on there heels and keep them guessing all night the could be a game we come out a Shock some People.

I think it's going to be a hard fought game and is going to be a nail biter all the way to the end.

Lets got to the NY and Put there faces in the dirt and show the Punks we aint no Joke

it all depends on the passing game.  You know that we can run the ball when we want to!!!!  But when they stack the box and force us to throw and we throw those short intermediate passes for 7 yards when we need 8.  It is going to be llike the preseason.  All we need Jason to do is go with his instinct and let the ball fly quit worrying about the INT.  He tends to check the ball down and pats the ball to many times.

My key to the offense is JC. I think his ability to get into a rhythm early is IMPORTANT. The O line has to protect him and give him time to get rid of the ball. CP will have a good game. The defense will be fine as long they are not on the field all nite. London and Andre will have a big game. Im expecting Mr. Dirty himself to have a helluva game.(I fully expect Plexiglass to come up with an case of alligator arms lmao)

I'm worried. I feel like the loss of Gregg Williams is going to show its head tomorrow.  Our secondary better be ready to play if we want a chance.

I agree w/JC being the key to the offense.  I hope he's increased his knowledge by leaps & bounds...and I hope that o line can shore things up so he has time to make throws.  I haven't been this nervous about the start of a new season in years.  I just don't want us to look like clueless doe does out there.  I don't know if we can pull out the win..but if we can't at least keep it respectable.  I think winning is possible for any team at any time...and I'm sure hoping we were just playing possum during those last 2 preseason games.  Let's go Skins..kick some Giant arse!!!

do not forget that Landry has not played all preseason and that might be a factor in the latter part of the game

Clock Management must improve, or we are in for a loooooong season.

Play Calling must improve, or we are in for a loooooong season.

Although it did not cost us the game (this time) the Refs were, well the Refs.

Too many blatantly obvious missed calls.

The refs were horrible but we still had a chance to win and couldn't do it Sad
