I woke this morning and sought out the score  Shocked

I was hopping for a win, but would have settled for some good play.  Undecided

Was it really as bad as I am reading

It does not matter how much natural ability you have, if you fail to apply it your not going to go far.

Probably even worse!! The O-line was like a sieve and our QB's kept getting sacked. We coughed up the ball several times and failed to do anything on either side of the ball except cause a lot of folks to doubt the validity of our 3 previous starts. I am a serious homer and bright side viewer but even I have to admit they looked pitiful! When your player of the game is Frosty....I think you catch my drift!
The one positive??--all together now: IT'S ONLY THE PRE-SEASON!   Undecided

If Frost was our MVP i think that says it all

Lets see how Zorn reacts to the result it could be the making of him as a HC

I think you're absolutely right about that Drumlinboy. This is a true acid test of his abilities as HC. Let's hope he passes! HTTR!

Judging from his press conference on Sunday, I think he did just fine.  However, we still needs to see what happens this week in practice as well as on Thursday.  He is off to a good start as far as dealing with a loss goes.  I think he realizes it is only a pre-season game though so we may not find out about this phase until it happens in the regular season.

I know we're 2 days removed from this but I'm glad I read this thread.  I thought I was the only one going bonkers over how we looked.  I know it's only preseason...buuuuuuuuuut  we're in deep doo doo if this is all we have to field.  I'm hoping it was just a fluke and the players for whatever reason were just uninterested.  I refuse to believe that Carolina is that good just b/c Delhomme is back.  No way.  I hope this served as a kick in the gonads for this team.  Good updating for the folks.  I think I'll be coming into this gameday thread rather than ES..less panic here more info....hopefully I won't bring the panic  Cheesy

The only highlight worth mentioning about this game was the little 9 year old girl who sang the national anthem.  I'm serious.  The kid was that good.  After that everything just went downhill from there.

Lets hope Zorn does adress the issues raised on this thread and on many others.

Fans can handle a bad result (i.e a loss) if they see effort and application, but without those two then fans can (rightly) get ugly and dishearted.
