What we learned ...

Brett Favre still has a cannon: In his first snap under center with the New York Jets, Favre unleashed a bullet pass to Jericho Cotchery for an 11-yard gain. He finished the game by giving Jets fans everything they were hoping for, completing 5 of 6 passes for 48 yards and a touchdown. He left after two series of work.

Jets backups need to work on their receiving skills: Reserve QB Kellen Clemens was only 3-for-10, but was hurt by several dropped passes. Of his seven incompletions, six of them were the result of a drop. Clemens was not flawless either, however, fumbling the ball twice (the Jets did recover both of them).

Rookie WR Devin Thomas has a ways to go: The second-round pick out of Michigan State missed the first two preseason games with a hamstring injury and just returned to practice this week. In his debut, he committed a costly special teams penalty, got cut down shy of the 20-yard-line on a kickoff and failed to come down with a pair of sideline throws.

It's going to be tough to cut RB Marcus Mason: The Redskins' fourth-string rusher has been extremely impressive so far in the preseason. With Clinton Portis and Ladell Betts getting limited carries, Mason has had plenty of opportunities and he has taken advantage of those chances. After rushing for 178 yards through the first two games, he added 75 more against the Jets.

MB: I think that the 75 yards for Mason was a typo ( I think that he had 55) but he did look impressive again

My Hubby Devin Thomas better get's his act together. lol. I guess it was a good learning experience for him, to see the speed of the pro's. I love the kid Marcus Mason, we have to keep him. I love the patients he has in finding the right holes to run thru. The ones that stood out for me on D is Boschetti, Hamilton and Rob Jackson. We really have alot great talent, I would not want to be a coach and make the cuts. Billy McMullen does not have great hands, I think he will be gone. I was happy for our Maryland TE Goode for that TD.

Um yeah he better.  He looked like crap and admitted after the game that he "wasn't ready".  Inexcusable and unacceptable.

I am not sure if I would say unacceptable right now. It's only a preseason game. Now if he plays like that in the regular season and than he was saying he wasn't ready"  that would be unacceptable.
