What up my Heads.  I decided to show up to the preseason game, stayed for the first half.  THe internet at my apartment is out right now so I haven't been able to read any articles/analysis on the preseason game yet.  I don;t know if anyone is reporting this but at the game I most definitely saw Carter and Taylor switching what side of the line they played on.  I wonder if this is something we will do all year to keep offenses on their toes.

I would say most definitely. Zorn talked a little bit about it in the Post. On TV it looked like Taylor definitely causes a false start penalty.

Yea this will definitely be occurring, Zorn has said in interviews/pressers, that he really believes that Carter and Taylor can create some mismatches by switching positions in specific situations.  He also made another good point that it will be tough for teams to prepare for the Carter/Taylor duo, if they don't know what side the guys are lining up on.  I personally think it's a great idea, and loved seeing the intimidation Jason Taylor brings, drawing 2 false starts in his first game.

Here's a link to an article that explains the situation much better than I can.

Yeah It was awsome both times he switched sides he drew false start penalties. Just goes to show what a guy like JT can do to a offense.

Jay Schroeder was on TV last season talking about how they used to try to block the real LT, he said basicaly wherever he lined up they had to put a TE there to help.

Now I know it is a big assumption, but if your say to player X you block Y and Y lines up no where near X. then X has problems and blown assignments and false starts are gonna happen.

Another good reason to have two genuine pass rush threats on the edges

It does not matter how much natural ability you have, if you fail to apply it your not going to go far.
