The First Official Redskinsheads Tailgate Thread
scheduled for Saturday, 08/08 vs Buffalo Bills

Here we go gang!  It's time for the Fed Ex Faithful to once again join Redskins and Redskinsheads from across the country for some good old fashioned tailgating!

Where:  Lot A-41 in the GREEN LOT.  You can get there by taking 495 to Exit 15 B, merge onto Central Ave, MD 214 West towards Capital Heights.  Follow for approximately 7 miles (go past the McDonalds) and make a right turn onto Garrett Morgan Blvd.  Once you get into the stadium lot, A-41 is located just on your left.  We will be directly under the A-41 sign.

Since this is going to be the first attempt at an organized RH tailgate, I would like to initiate a roll call to determine who will be participating and what you will be contributing to the event.  In an effort to get organized, I have compiled a list of items that we will need ranging from food to drinks to utencils, etc.

Here is the list that I've put together, if you see something that you'd like to bring simply claim so by responding with a post stating your contribution.  If you have a specialty dish that you would like to share or would like to bring something that you do not see on this list, jump right in and post your contribution.  Remember, just because it's on the list, it doesn't mean we have to have it.  It is merely here to offer a suggestion as to what you could bring if you are not sure of how you can contribute.

Aight! I'm going to the game as usual.  But also as usal I have no parking pass.  This starts the first of 10 weeks where I go to bars and try to swindle drunks into selling me green parking passes for fair value.  If I can't get one this week I will park in the tailgate and walk which is by the Green D section (right behind the RV section).  If that happens I won't be able to bring much more than a cooler (I'm fat, it'll be hard walk for me even if I wasn't carrying anything!)  Hail to the Redskins and down with Canada!!!........well at least for this week.

BigMike, if you'd like....  I can pick you up from the McDonalds on Central Ave.  Check your PM's and we'll work out a time.

Me and the hubby will be going.  I couldn't sell my tailgate passes for the game so we will be eating with the tailgate folks.  I will still bring some plates and forks, knives, and spoons - I will get some from costco.  Figure that way we can use them for the next one since they are in bulk Smiley

Looking forward to having a few drinks with everyone Smiley

For the first regular season game I am planning on making my homemade potato salad Wink

Man that is a long way to walk from the RED parking lot having to carry things. How's about I donate some money to the cause and we call it even. Either way I'll swing over and say HI!!

Either way guys, whatever works best for you individually.  I just want to see a strong contingent of RH there.  I'm sure our tailgate will work a lot like the Redskins, we will have to use the preseason to get us into a rhythm for once the regular season games start.  By the time the Cardinals come to town, folks will be calling us "Ham and Cheese" because we will be on a roll baby!   Wink

Why don't you move the tailgate by E-43 where the ES/RR Tailgate is held and join us???

Then we can be one BIG happy Redskins family tailgating together.

Since I am the Bartender for the ES/RR Tailgate, I won't be able to stop by during the regular season, but I might stop by on my way inside the stadium for the pre-season games since I don't tailgate pre-season.

I will be there. Brown isn't going to make it so I am bringing a friend. What time are you starting the tailgate? I think I will be there by 3pm. I can bring my little gas grill. I will also get some chips. Blitz...how much hamburger do you think I should bring? Do you have an estimate of how many people will be there. I will get a few pounds of hamburger  unless you think I need to bring more and some buns. Let me know anything else.

I'd love to, but I've been tailgating in the same spot for the past 6 years with quite a few of the same folks.  If I moved, my father in law would divorce me.   Shocked

Hey there! I will most likely be dropping in, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to bring anything. I could possibly help out with condiments and chips!!!  Grin  Wink

Wife gets off work at 4pm then we will be headed to FedEx.  We don't have a parking pass and usually park at the tailgate field near green lot.  I'll talk with her and my boy and his girl tonight and find out the plan.  Anyone selling a green pass?

Gnarly, I made the offer to BigMike21 as well.  If you want, contact me and we can work out a place to meet.  You could ride in with me.
