With the hall of fame induction ceremony being only a few days away and our guy, Art Monk finally making it after being snubbed for so long before getting voted in this year it made me think of the guys who should have already been in but is not even been considered.
My personal choice would be Chris Hanburger. You do not make the probowl 9 times out of 13 years without being one of the best in your peer group or at that time in the NFL.
Out of these choices who would you think is now the biggest Redskin Hall of Fame snub?

The Hogs should be inducted en Masse.
Not just because they were an awesome line, but they changed the game in that they marketed themselfs so efficently, IMHO they led the way in doing so.

I didn't list Grimm because he is, at least being considered and I think that he will soon be in.

A lot of people here probably don't remember him, but Chris Hanburger arguably was one of the best linebackers to ever play the game and, outside of Sam Huff, the best to ever play for the Redskins. There aren't a lot of strong-side linebackers in the Hall of Fame right now (Ted Hendricks, Dave Wilcox), so he has that running against him. But, as Mike said above, nine Pro Bowls -- a Redskins record -- should spell Hall-of-Fame candidate. As much as I love Joe Jacoby, you have to look at the likes of Hanburger and I dare say Pat Fischer first. For more on that, read here: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2008/jul/30/on-the-campaign-trail/

I really can't add anything more to what Stwasm stated. It is a travesty that Chris Hanburger wasn't enshrined a long time ago.

Great post Mike! Chris Hanburger to me is a no brainer, but so is Jerry Smith. I wrote a blog about back in February. If you all get a chance check it out. http://redskinsheads.com/blog/50555/7133HTTR!!!

I'd dare argue that Jerry Smith is probably the best tight end to ever play for the Redskins -- until Chris Cooley breaks ALL of his records.

I'd have to go w/Hanberger also. He was the epitomy of tough back in the day.

All are deserving but nine Pro Bowls in thirteen seasons makes Chris Hanburger the epitome of a snub. If not a snub at leat a huge oversight.
