The first time I listened to Sonny, Sam and Frank for a game was Super Bowl XVII. Ever since that time, for every Redskins game I watched on TV, I always turned the sound down to listen to that trio on the radio. It hasn't been the same since Frank left and now, with TV so worried about people swearing when it's live, the delay doesn't allow the two mediums to synch. This would truly be the end of an era if this report is accurate. http://www.dcrtv.com/DCRTV hears rumblings that this could be the last year for the Redskins game-day radio team of Sonny Jurgensen, Sam Huff, and play-by-play man Larry Michael. Next year it could be Mike Patrick doing play-by-play, with Joe Theismann and John Riggins adding color. At least that's what a reliable local radio source tells us. You'll recall that Jurgensen and Huff have been calling Skins' games for several decades, having previously been paired with play-by-play man Frank Herzog.....

That is fine with me. Hey, they have been great and have been the voice of the SKins for years and we should commend them on that. However, I do not enjoy listening to them call the games (The pregame and postlockerroom with them was fine, just the game calling I couldn't stand). Besides I think it would kind of call to change from one generation of great skins to the next. (Hopefully it will be HOFers Campbell and Cooley doing it in 25 years).

I wouldn't mind Riggo, Joey Sunshine and Mike Patrick doing the radio broadcast. Works for me.

Sounds like a great fresh start. I wasn't able to get into Larry. Sonny and Sam seemed, at times, to be just putting in time. Frank, Sonny and Sam are broadcast legends and I will always have fond memories of them.

Personally, I'd take former Hog Mark May over Joey T. anyday. May does GREAT work on ESPN's College GameDay.

Nah, I have a real problem with Mark May. He completely sold out on the Skins following his pro career here in Washington. He has said some very un-Redskins like things about his former team.

I don't know anything about this. What did he do? I know he did a few of the pre-season radio broadcasts a few years ago and did a good job.

Mark May is a punk. Apparently he also bashed the Skins big time in some book he wrote.

Listened to Sonny and Sam for years. Knew this day would eventually come. Will miss them, but at same time would welcome Riggins, Joe T., and Mike Patrick. Feel they would do a good job.
