Great job by the Bears to lock down there big monster in the middle for another 4 season...now if they can find a young QB to lock down like this they may have something going for the future.

The extension is worth between $38-40 million, reports NFL Network's Adam Schefter, and will keep Harris in Chicago through 2012. The three-time Pro Bowler would have become an unrestricted free agent after the 2008 season.
Harris, 25, posted a career-high eight sacks in 2007 and has compiled a total of 19½ throughout his four-year career. Taken by the Bears with the 14th overall pick in the 2004 draft, Harris has started 56 games.
Harris is scheduled to speak about the new deal during a news conference Friday morning.
While the Bears were able to lock up Harris, the team still has unfinished business. Linebacker Brian Urlacher and receiver/return specialist Devin Hester are both still seeking new deals.
