Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker is listed in fair condition at Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas after an apparent robbery attempt early Monday morning.

Las Vegas police responded to the corner of Winnick Avenue and Koval Lane at 7:19 a.m. Monday and found an unconscious male who appeared to be the victim of a robbery, according to the official police report. The victim was transported to the hospital with "significant" injuries and later identified as Walker, according to the report.

A Sunrise Medical Center spokesperson could not confirm what time Walker had been admitted.

A Raiders spokesman said, "We are in the process of gathering information."

Walker is entering his first season with the Raiders after signing a six-year, $55 million contract that includes $16 million in guaranteed money. The six-year veteran was release by the Broncos in March after two seasons in Denver. He was limited to eight games, with five starts, last season by knee injuries and finished with 26 receptions for 287 yards.

I so agree. My heart dropped when I heard that news. It's to similar to our Sean's story.

1. Monday morning
2. Robbery
3. not sure if he was shut

I hope he will recover quickly

I don't think it's remotely near the tragedy that was Sean's murder. These are entirely different circumstances, and thank God for that. Javon is alive, injuries are minor, and per reports, will be released from hospital today.

It sure is not Pookie. And you right Thank God for that.

But I posted this around 12:30 am Tuesday morning when I first hear about Javon and was not sure what was going on, so my initial reactions and feelings was a cry "Oh no not again".

I'm relieved that he is fine. I wouldn't wish that kind of loss on another group of fans.

Here is Walker's story of what happen to him;

“I was just back at my room and at about 5:30 in the morning I got a knock at the door. I opened it and 3 guys with guns were there. They cracked me in the head a few times, knocking me unconscious. They then robbed me of everything I had; my watch, money, everything! Somehow they got me to a car and dropped me off in the street. That’s what happened.”

Now if anyone believes that story I want to sell you some gold my daughter dug up at the beach last week.

He is saying that three guys got by the Bellagio Hotel security and then made it to his VIP room, where he then opened the door for them at 5:30 am.

Then after knocking him out and robbing him for some crazy reason they carried him though the hotel and dumped him out into the street.

Wow, what a story! I think maybe he has seen the movie Smokin Aces one to many times. LOL

IMO Pook and Simone are wrong (but I love them very much!!!).  This is just like the ST21 thing.  He was in his room and was robbed by people with guns.  The only difference was it was a hotel and not his home and he was only beat up and not shot.  This world is crazy.....

NCSF it does seem a bit over the top.

Who here has been to Vegas?  All you need is a roomkey to get into the halls.....not even a current one.  For example, I personally can get into 4 hotels at Vegas past security with the keys I keep....and I know they still work bc I use them cause some places have real tight poolside tables.  I'm not saying he is saying the whole truth but yeah it's quite possible if not downright easy to do.  And why not carry him out to the streets? Did they know him?  Did they have prior beef?  Did they want to embarass him?  Were they trying to rob a car of his?  This is the world we live in.  I personally can get to any door with a gun in the Belaggio and Im just some fat white kid from Virginia.

I'm with BigMike on this one, I will have to give Walker the benefit of the doubt for the simple reason that there is no apparent reason for him to have to come up with a lie.

Well if someone carried an unconscious NFL WR out of the Bellagio Hotel I'm sure it's on video. So I guess the sleeping security guards who somehow miss that little caper can review the tapes. LOL

I agree that it sounds wierd NCSF but that is probably why it is true...I think that if he was going to make up something he could've made it sound believable to everyone.
