IMO we have 4 first ballot Hof'ers in this class...

Brett Favre- No question here he would be in consideration if I was asked my opinion of the best QB ever to play the game.

Michael Strahan- One of the best DE's of his time, single season sack record, 6 x all pro with 7 pro bowl appearances

Warren Sapp- I have never seen a DT who could take over a game from the DT position like Sapp did in his youth. Another 6 x All pro and earned 1990's all decade team honors.

Junior Seau- 8 x All Pro, '90's all decade honors and was really the face of the Chargers for many years. Outside of Lawrence Taylor, SAYOUCH may have been the most feared OLB to ever play in the NFL.

...These guys are my selections but there are other 2008 retirees that are just as deserving. Let RH know which  of these guys, if any deserves first ballot HoF honors in your opinion and why.

...here's the article and the other guys ( Jonathon Ogden, Larry Allen and Steve mcNair) that have created the "logjam"

I don't really see Strahan as a first ballot considering Favre and maybe Seau will be in the same class.

The voters are going to put Strahan over Seau for sure.

Farve is the only first ballot that I see.  I think the others will have to wait.

Like BigMike implied earlier, this is a good class and they will be pushing some of the nominees back. Out of this class I am almost sure that I see 3 and possibly 4 players that will be first balloteers with the other #4 if he does'nt make it and  one more this year retiree going in the next year (2014).

I thought of Ogden too and he is probably just as deserving as the guys that I picked but I think that he will be compared to Bruce Mathews when the times comes.Although the all-pro/ pro bowl numbers are there, I think that Mathews was a lot more dominant o-lineman than Ogden and Mathews made the pro-bowl at 2 positions on the line.
