Your argument holds no water im sorry fellas we don't live in a perfect world.  The best team doesn't always win, the best applicant doesn't always get the job and the best candidate doesn't always win elections.  I was taught this life lesson around first grade.  I have nothing left to say to you your argument is as follows, best team = superbowl winners.  You act as the NFL playoffs are flawless, and there is no way that the best team could win.  You know whats so much fun about football "any given sunday" the best team doesn't always win, much like we lost to the Bills last season.

-I know on extremeskins you can bet avatars, etc., I am willing to bet either one of you that the Patriots will do better than the Giants next year, whatever you may want.  Since you all believe the Giants are the best team this should be a sweet deal, and to make it even better I'll let you count one of the many losses we all know they will have as a win to give you a 2 game swing.  Still I will bet for the Patriots, so if you two are so adamant on your belief that the Giants are the best team in football please accept the bet.  If you don't want to take the bet, and just want to side step by saying its a new year blah blah blah, then there is no need to respond.  We each have our opinions, I am willing to bet mine is right, let's see if you are.  So I have nothing left to say in this thread unless one of you would like to accept the terms, and then we can discuss what to bet.

You're a funny dude B-Money, you block out the points that others try to make to get a totally different point across. We are talking this past season and you keep bringing up this upcoming season and do not want to read any statements about anything unless some crazy bet is involved. I have a brother who is the same way so I am pretty used to it. I created a thread with a poll about the predictions for the upcoming seasons, ballots were cast and people, including myself expressed their thoughts of what is going to happen with the Giants and other teams in '08-'09 on that thread. Their predictions are there, most think that Giants will not repeat so does that mean that they could not be the best of this past season?...certainly not. You can't make anyone disregard the process of determining the best team set up by the NFL because you do not believe in it or disregard their feelings that the Giants earned the rights to be called the best team of this past season because you happen to not think so.

It's just ludricous to say " I do not want to hear BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, let's just bet"....Bet on what?...Last season is gone, The Superbowl is over, The Giants have won....what is it to bet on now?

-So no?
-Also don't know why you bolded the words that thread, everything I have discussed has held relevance to the poll I choose to take.  I am discussing why I don't believe the best team in the NFL always wins the Superbowl, and using the fact that everyone knows the Giants are going to do bad next year, to support my opinion.  You have supported your opinion by researching photos of horses, and saying everyone has a chance to win the superbowl so obviously the best team wins.  You also neglect to say why you feel the Giants "the best team in football" will do so bad next year, without any significant changes in the offseason.  Again I will try to close this, will you show faith in your opinion or just sidestep again, its not like your betting money here (which I find irrational).

Again I will try to close this,

Please do because it is not making any sense.

I do not know what the heck is it that you want to bet on.

Another have exclamated the heck out of his post trying to get his point across to you, I have tried to use reasoning but you continue  stating some crap that you done pulled out your butt.

You have not made any point to me and I have obviously not made any to you, so it is about time that we leave it the heck alone now because it is getting quite sickening and is not going anywhere.

Is the point of this thread to do away with the Super Bowl and award the Lombardy Trophy to the team with the best record after  16 games?

Obviously... or that the SB champs should repeat each and every year and if not, they weren't any good in the first place.

No and no where in this thread have I said the Giants aren't the superbowl winners. The point of this thread is to come to the realization that champions and best are not synonyms.  Teams play all season for one thing, to get the trophy, the ring, and the respect to be world champions, I understand that.  This does not necessarily mean that the best team always wins, only that the team that plays well at the right time wins.  I am saying the Pats were robbed NO, am I saying the Giants didn't deserve to win NO.  I am saying that it is pretty evident that at this current stage in time that the Giants are not  the best team in football right now, Superbowl Champions YES.  But do you really think its soooo impossible for a better team to lose to a worst team?  Its like youve never heard of an upset or anygiven Sunday.  No one is taking anything away from the Giants, they are the WORLD CHAMPIONS, but they aren't the world champions because they are the best team in football, they are the World Champions because they played extremely well at the right time, and Eli Manning really stepped it up for the team.

Where have I said they should repeat?  All I said is that with no significant changes the best team in football shouldn't suffer that drastically, its pretty basic knowledge.
