Roy is a bad season away from moving to linebacker IMO

Sad thing is, in my opinion Roy could have been a descent linebacker in the NFL, had he been playing LB all along.

Indeed, that Monday Night game was a sight for all to see.  I actually lived with a cowboy fan at the time, I remember being so down and out thinking it was all over.  Then 1, then 2, and it was all over 14-13 Redskins WIN

Dallas Cowboys Updated:05/19/2008
According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Cowboys could be close to dumping Roy Williams. His reputation seems to have slipped to the point where he's among those listed as the NFL's most overrated. Roy was at his best when playing his first two seasons next to fellow safety Darren Woodson. Once Woody retired after the '03 season, Williams hasn't been the same.

Mike I saw the same thing this morning.  I heard that maybe Miami would be interested in him.  I find it hard to believe that the Boys would just dump him without any compensation but now that this story hit I'm not sure they have a choice.

I think that Miami will be interested in anybody that the Cowboys want to get rid of.

I can't see Williams being a Cowboy at the beginning of the season even after their "clear the air" meeting.

I highly doubt anyone is going to be making a trade for one of the worst coverage safeties in the game today.     And I am not certain but I would predict the cap hit would be pretty big if the Cowboys cut him, that is why I believe Williams will be playing a role similar to Archuleta's, the last year he was with the skins, a safety playing only situational downs, where they can't hurt the team.

I didn't even think about the cap possibilities of them cutting him.  And obviously no one is oging to trade for him so yeah it might be cost-effective and just plain smart just to keep him on the roster for another year.
