Former Bengals WR Henry drawing interest from undisclosed team

CINCINNATI -- Former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry will be released from court-ordered electronic monitoring and house arrest so he can try out for another NFL team.

Hamilton County Municipal Court Judge Richard Bernat issued the ruling Tuesday, when Henry's attorney Perry Ancona said the player has an offer to try out for a team. Ancona did not identify the team.

The 24-year-old has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges of assault and criminal damaging dating to March, when a University of Cincinnati student told police Henry punched him in the head and damaged his car.

Henry was suspended by the NFL for eight games last season because of earlier arrests. The Bengals released him last month.

Henry will be required to show the court a letter from the team he's trying out for before he's permitted to travel.

This could actually make sense for Dallas, but I still don't even think they are dumb enough to re-unite Pac-Man and Henry. Henry isn't that good in the first place.

He would be a great third WR for any team and would certainly make Dallas' passing game a bigger threat.  They currently have very little WR depth.  The interesting dynamic would be he and Pac Man Jones playing together again.  The only real difference now would be that they are both millionaires.  Personally, I say let it happen, nothing would make me happier than to see that franchise shoot themselves in the foot.
