I'd go with soccer or MMA to watch and soccer or basketball to play.

Hockey is my all-time favorite sport, followed by football, basketball, soccer and baseball.  Of course, I support ALL of DC's sports teams as I am a native.

I used to follow NASCAR closely.  Now I do follow wrestling, as that is the sport of choice
for my son.  Learning wrestling on the fly, because I never did.

Caps Hockey. Also love the Wizards but there is nothing like an intense hockey game.

this is the first year that i really got into hockey. i had a blast watching the caps this year.

i dont really like watching baseball. my friend pitches for the angels, so when he is on, that's fun.

ncaa basketball is cool, especially when my george mason patriots were in the final 4.

i love the wizards, but they need to get it together more.

football is really my #1 love.

I picked baseball but I love Duke basketball. I also enjoy going to Carolina Hurricanes games.

I voted "Other."

Although I enjoy watching college basketball and minor and major league baseball, my favorite sport to watch next to the Redskins is Drag Racing.

I enjoy both NHRA and IHRA and I go to the races all the time. I even do the National events when they are in the Mid-Atlantic area.

Heck, I use to practicality live at 75-80 Drag way here in Frederick county (5 miles from my house), but after 45 years in existence, they are now closed and a frigin housing development is now being built there.  Angry Cry

I actually don't watch alot of other sports..but I do keep up w/a few.  I keep up w/basketball.  My team is the 6ers and has been since the Dr. J days.  I keep up w/baseball after the season..so I like post season baseball.  My teams (notice I have more than 1...since it's not football..I allow myself that luxury Cheesy) are the Mets and the Pirates.  I also watch some fishing...and some NHRA(my husband's fave sport)

*edit* I also enjoy ODU LADY Monarchs basketball.  Went to my first Lady Monarchs game this past season...It was during the tournament and they won!  Had a great time!

I'm an NBA boy myself.  Gotta root for my Orlando Magic.  I don't have any ill will towards the Wizards at all even thought they are division rivals.  I also like baseball.  My favorite team is the Orioles but i basically like baseball in general (I play a lot of fantasy baseball).  Also big time FSU football fan.  Needless to say I wasn't a big fan of the Spurrier hiring at the time.  All of this is secondary to our Skins though.

My other passion is very specific: Valley League Baseball. This league provides top notch college players with an opportunity to play baseball against their contemporaries using a wooden bat--like they do in the Majors. This also allows MLB scouts to check out these promising young players. The last 2 world series MVPs played right here in our  Valley League. Here's a link to the Valley League website: http://www.valleyleaguebaseball.com/ We are a host family for the New Market Rebels--meaning we take one of the players into our home for the summer season. To me this is baseball in it's purest form-- where these guys are playing for the love of the game and with an aching in their hearts to make the "big time". Most of the ball parks are located in small towns in very quaint locales--it is very "Field of Dreams"-like. It is quite exciting to think that we may be hosting or rubbing elbows with a future MLB star. For those of you in the NOVA area there are VBL parks close to you (Fauquier Gators & Haymarket Senators) -- take your kid or your neighbor's kid and go see a game ($5 a pop!) and support this wonderful slice of Americana.
