In recent years we have been watching big, young receivers like Roy Williams, Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, Marques Colston, Braylon Edwards etc., etc. come into the league and make huge impacts on their team's offensive passing performance and dominate smaller DB's. This is why I am excited about having the opportunity to have drafted both Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly. Thomas, although being considered a big receiver at 6'2'' and 215 lbs has blazing speed (4.34, 40) and can be used like Larry Fitzgerald by effectively running outside routes which would be hard on a corner to match both his size and speed, while Kelly can be killing them on the inside with his size, strength and sure hands. These are weapons that we could have for the next six or seven years if they pan out and if the FO takes care of them.
Some may argue that a receiver does not have to be big to be affective and they would be right but having a couple of big receiver on the roster will definitely not hurt. Let's use last year's top 10 receivers as an example. Six of last year's top 10 receivers were 6'3'' or above and of the taller receivers only Brandon Marshall with 7 had less than 10 TD's. I don't know about anyone else but I would welcome, possibly having those type of numbers on our team.
Some may argue that our QB are not on the same level as their's are but I would say that Campbell could be just as good or better than the likes of Matt Leinart/ Kurt Warner, Tony Romo, Jay Cutler or Derek Anderson if given the right weapons.
I know that I am going to get the argument that none of the top 10 led their respective team to a Superbowl victory last year but it takes an entire team to win the big one and I think that we are in better position, team-wise than a few of the other guys were in. I also think that the FO answered the critical need on our team by getting these guys and I can not wait to see them go to work.
Before asked...no, I do not think that we are all the way there yet but I definitely think that we are a lot better off than we were before we drafted these guys.

I would agree with that I think that we are going to be better than what are going to put us at!!!!! Everybody is going to think that the division is going to finish as followed 1. Cowgirls 2. Giants 3. Philly 4. Skins
My opinion 1. Giants 2. Skins 3. The Girls 4. Philly
that is just my opinion

The division is going to be a tough one but I do not see the Giants winning it this upcoming year

I can't wait to see them in action, because now we have a redzone offense. They will also help free up Moss from double teams as well. As far as the division goes; skins, g-men, philly, dallas you heard it here first

I really can not see Dallas falling to third but I can see us winning the division if our defense is agressive this year like I think that it will be... 1st- Skins or Dallas 2nd- Dallas or Skins 3rd- NY 4th- Philly But I think you are right, the red zone offense should get us over the hump this season.

I have Dallas last, I think that the team will implode from the inside this season. Theyre still iffy at a #2 receiver if Glenn can't get back, their secondary is more than suspect, playing in a division with premier TE's and WR's. Romo has been very good statistically, but when watching his plays you can't help but notice the string of luck that has been on his side (up to december), I mean how many bad snaps bounced directly to him last season and ended up as large gains? That just won't happen season after season, Romo's errant throws where he doesn't even look where he passes will begin to get intercepted more and more frequently, TO will become TO, he expects nothing less than 13-3 now, and from the start I can see them taking a few losses. They begin with CLE who has made a name for themselves, week 2 they will go against the rebounding philly (who we saw last season had potential to beat the Pats), week 3 Green Bay (though without favre still a very stout D, and descent receiving core), week 4 v skins (they have no chance, without 3 TO TD's we would have swept them last season), week 5 cin(they aren't the most consistent but they can win this game), week 6 ariz (same as cin). Now these are the first 6 games for Dallas and I can easily see them splitting the 6, putting them at as many losses as they had all last season. So I shall stick to my conviction you heard it here first; skins, g-men, philly, dallas

WOW! picking them last is a bold prediction for a 13-3 team that was dominant throughtout the season, lost only their second best RB and picked up one, in the draft who may be better than the one that they lost. Not to mention stealing Pacman who is a Devin Hester type return specialist who can cover on D.... but I hope that you are right

I doubt Pacman will return, even if he does, he'll be gone for something else by the end of the season. And in my post I never mentioned there running game which I think will be very strong, but they run a pass first offense having a dominant running game is a nice compliment, but not as necessary as a descent #2 receiver, and patrick crayton aint cutting it. If Glenn gets back and can produce well, we may see a high flying offense, but that all depends on how long Romo will have all the luck in the world on his back as well(and yes I know he has alot of talent as well but not top 5), their secondary is just ugly. Roy Williams cannot cover anyone, first week he has Kellen Winslow, week 2 Roy will be matched up against any philly TE or Westbrook (either way its a mismatch and Donovan loves going to the TE), Green Bay another TE in Bubba Franks that will produce an awkward mismatch, week 4 skins TE's. And that is just exploiting one player on their D, unless their linebackers learn to cover some of the best receiving TE's in the league, Roy is going to have one hell of a tough time this year.
**Roy Williams is pretty much a poor coverage skills LB playing SS, and making it loook baddd in my opinion.***

Dallas had the 3rd best passing offense in the NFL without Glenn...they had the 9th ranked defense in the league, was 6th in interceptions had the 13th ranked passing D although their best cover corner was hurt for like 5 games. I hate Dallas as much as any other Redskins fan do but you have to be realistic...they are not going to just roll over and die just because we want them to.

Guarantee Giants don't win it. They will finish either 3rd or last with Skins and Cowboys going 1/2 or 2/1.

I definitely think Thomas and Kelly will be great additions to this team and represent the future of this franchise. There's a LOT of potential with those two and they represent steals when you consider where we selected them. Having said that, I'm not ready to declare the Redskins division winners just yet. We have to consider the learning curve of this new offense and seeing how long in takes for the team to translate the theory to game-time situations.

I hate Dallas as much as any other Redskins fan do but you have to be realistic...they are not going to just roll over and die just because we want them to. -As I have said about their passing offense, I just don't believe Tony Romo's streak of luck will continue, passes will get picked bad snaps will be lost, and people have a much better gameplan for Jason Garret's shoot out style. He also only went against to top 10 passing defenses' all of last season, PHI twice, and GB. While you are correct that their D was 9th I don't believe yards per/g is an accurate stat of a defense as pts allowed, and Dallas ranks 20th in pts allowed,. As far as interceptions goes, 6th place has all of 3 more int's then the 17th ranked team. I don't think this statistic is very relevant, even if their top corner was hurt (not liking the skins have never dealth w/ that). What I see happening is a slow start to a touch schedule in a tough division, this will inevitably frustrate the team and TO specifically. I see this leading to their downfall. May be it will maybe it won't, I understand they are talented I just haven't seen them perform under a pressure situation(hence no playoff win), which I believe they will be faced with at the beginning of next season. If they come out of the first four games 5-1 or above you can expect them to remain at the top, I see them going 3-3 maybe 4-2 and leading to their demise (they don't have big angry Parcells anymore to put everyone in line).

Again, I hope that you are right and Dallas have a horrible season but I am not going to count on it.
As far as the stats goes, your's is the typical argument none of the stats matters but the ones that you may find that helps your argument. But hell, we can throw out each and every stat and just look at their play from last season and how dominant a regular season they had. This should show anyone that they are going to be team that you dismiss just because we happen to not like them.

*Segueing back to the topic".....
I think that Thomas and Kelly will help our team have the balanced attack that is necessary to be successful in the NFL.
