If I am not mistaken Moss missed alot of practice due to his quad injury and most of training camp and all that time was valuable. it would have been chemistry and timing together maybe this year will be different. Let's hope

The connection was not even there when Brunell was benched the year before last, T-Y. I really think that Moss is going to be the casualty next season because he and Campbell can not connect.

I don't think we can lose Moss as a casualty this season, he is currently the only receiver who commands a double team other than Chris Cooley. May be Jason doesn't like throwing into the double coverage Moss gets, anyway you look at it Moss needs to produce for us to be effective this year in my opinion, he adds sucha compliment to CP's game by stretching the field, and not allowing teams to play us with 8 in the box every single down. I think majority of the blame here falls on Campbell for the "bad marriage", but he can make up for it this season, by showing his progression, and that he can be trusted to be a franchise qb, and he will need some help from Moss to do that.

I agree that he is not going anywhere THIS year and I hope he never goes anywhere but if they can not get it together and by us having drafted 2 receivers, early AND with Zorn being QB friendly, I think that a seperation of the two will happen with Moss being moved.

Moss wasn't the only guy that Campbell couldn't connect with. He threw high and too the side on a lot of throws. You really have to give it to ARE and some of the other guys last year that were able to pull in some of those balls, especially over the middle with the ball being behind them. Our larger targets should help, but they are not a substitute for Campbell's development.

Campbell obviously has work to do but there still has to be a concern about his and our top receiver connection problems.

Nope, wasn't saying that anyone had implied that, just a separate point that I decided to make, just hoping that Campbell's development isn't impeded.

Very true, the large targets will not substitute for campbell's progression, but they will compliment it, hopefully speeding the process up. If the process just can't occur, well then there's always Colt Brennan and most likely the draft, but I have some faith that with this new offensive scheme and talent, Campbell will pull the pieces together, and be performing at a high level consistently by the end of the season.

I agree, Campbell may have been asked for too much when he had nothing but pea-sized receivers to work with. The passing game looked much better when we signed and utilized Reche Cardwell and Keenan McCardell. I think that the larger targets are going to make a big difference for Campbell.

Those are the exacts throws Jason won't have to make with taller receivers. Rather than have to give a little lob to get over the corner, he can throw his usual bullet but high. I think these receivers are really going to compliment JC's game, and I have been an avid JC doubter.

Exactly! ...With a smaller receiver you have to throw a different pass than you would with bigger guys who could out fight or out jump defenders for the possession. Sometimes when you try to throw the hard, exact pass that is needed for the small receiver, the pass gets away from you and the pass is usually a high one.
