Redskinsheads is now getting it's own identity and forming its own face, so if we would just be patient, I am sure that we will all be pleased with the final outcome. [/quote]

Thanks guys, I've given a few of you a sneak peak at the beta. Hope to have it up and running very soon. However, even with the new and improved RH.com site, I'm sure there will be room for improvements. I hope that we will "always" be looking for new ways to make this site better.

Well why don't we use this thread as a place to let people know of little things/bugs for the site. For example, I've noticed recently that the blog rating system has changed to baseballs rather than footballs.
That was the plan

Good idea but let's wait on the finished product...believe me, these things are being worked out and the site is still being constructed even it may be transparent to most members. This site's older sister site is "Sawxheads.com" and was started with the same premise by Blitz and the guys from Sawxheads. Just to get it started it began much like a skeleton Sawxhead site only with Redskins skin, therefore you may see "baseballs" or see their site name if you "hover over the redskinsheads.com Forums graphic" but Redskinsheads is now getting it's own identity and forming its own face, so if we would just be patient, I am sure that we will all be pleased with the final outcome. B has been very receptive to all suggestions and I am sure that he will continue to be after admin has completed their process, so lets please allow the building to be completed before we start pointing out cracks in the wall. Right now I am appreciating everything that we have now and anticipating what's to come. So if we wait to release bugs until the finished product.. and there are bugs in that... what are we to do? Wait a few months again? It's like having testers before a video game comes out or something, we may mention something that wasn't looked at/noticed. On my sites when users help me, even if I'm planning on changing something, I'm appreciative even if I noticed, because that means that the users like the site and are willing to help.. and may find something that I hadn't

I am pretty sure that your generous observations are appreciated and will be parts of the change.

Tryfuhl you make excellent points and I have to admit that you are very knowlegeable about building and maintaining websites. There is no question about that and this is not why my question was raised.
I also like the idea of centralizing member thoughts, observations and concerns but IMO, if we would wait and see what the admin has in mind as far as final results, we can better evaluate what is needed. I know for a fact that your last concern had been worked out before you even posted it, I know there will be no baseballs vs. footballs so that will not be a concern and I am pretty sure that the other concerns have been dealt with also.
IMO, we can make suggestions after suggestions before we see what's there for us and if admin tries to comply to every suggestion, it will be back and forth for them making changes and it will take forever to get to see the finished site. To me, it is not like "having testers for a video game" because we have not seen what we are testing while video game testers have seen what they are working with.
I am not saying that I am more right than you are and I definitely do not know anything near what you know about site construction but I would, sometime in the near future like to see RH in it's completion. Or at least the real design that admin has for us and then with your keen eye and attention to detail, I am sure that you will realize what is needed for the final pieces to come together.

It's more of just having a running list. I'm not putting blame on anyone but everything that's been proposed could be easily done in an afternoon. Fixes could be done in a matter of minutes on most things. I could wait for new things, but whose to say that the suggestion or bug fix will come? Plus it keeps blitz from being the only bug tester and from having to go back and make MORE changes after he figured completion for the time being. It seems that he's having the people that own the site do most of the changes and if he's not comfortable tinkering around I can understand that. But if he submits another set of changes right after they roll one upgrade out, we may be waiting another 2 months like this past time. I'm not saying the site sucks, but if I find something wrong or have an idea, I'll post it up. Creative flow if you will, I don't see how that harms anything honestly, any developer of any type should be accustomed to the process. I know considering my supposed aura on here that I'll probably never be part of the staff, but considering having someone familiar with simple template modifications, basic markup, etc that is popular with everyone would be a great idea because there's no reason for some of the bugs to still be around and kinda crappy that we have to wait for the owners of the site to get around to fixing it, what if they just up and decide not to maintain/upgrade it anymore past the server level?

I understand your point but B and the others may not be concentrating a "bug" fix here or a "bug" fix there right now but instead on giving the site a whole new face with the bugs that you are suggestion to be fixed already in the plans and I am pretty sure that this would take more than a "matter of minutes". I am not part of the staff either but I know from just being here, being patient, seeing the progression of the site and believing what B (who I also know is much more hands on than you may want to think) has said is to come, that we as members will be looking at much more changes than a color change to the "forum" emblem. My point is that after the WHOLE new face that we can concentrate on the tiny bugs.

Hey, now at the top of people's profiles there's an "ALERT" asking people to take a survey about sawxheads.com and leads to a survey asking things about the sox and the patriots
